My bachelor’s thesis is nearing completion and it was great experience for me. I would like to thank to all KDE community for their work on KDE desktop and that they give me opportunity to have my work on KDE git repository. I want especially thank to Lukáš Tinkl for his advices and consultation to my bachelor’s thesis and thank to Dan Vrátil for his Akonadi-google and useful advices and testing.
It’s also my last way to present my plasmoids with wishes of reporting bugs because I have less than a month to fix all bugs before I will have defense of my bachelor’s thesis. So thanks for testing and reporting bugs and if you like my plasmoids I promise that I will continue on working on it.
I’m using only Google resources from Akonadi-google in default option. It’s because my bachelor’s thesis is about Google applets so if you need all resources you will have to use -DALL_COLLECTIONS=true option to cmake command.
You can get it from my Git repository
Thanks a lot 🙂
Nice. I’ve used my folderview work for the thesis as well.
Be prepared: most probably one of the profs will ask you smth like “how can you be sure that with open source, the code is always good and no crap gets in?” Tell them that most of the kdelibs developers are professional paid devs and that kde has never been an open source mess, but that there is a commercial ecosystem around it. Also, tell them that open source code and fast releases mean there are more eyes and less bugs.

Nice! I hope these will be improved and maybe “merged” with some of the current plasmoids and ported to QML. These are something that I could easily see myself using in the future.
I absolutely adore these! This is exactly what I’ve been needing. I just hope that it ends up looking like the slick, professional second image, and not that cluttered, unclear looking first one. From a design perspective, the quality difference between the two is like night and day.
Both pictures are the same applets but first is default Air plasma theme and second is Glassifield.

Thanks, I fixed it 🙂
Nice work, I’d like to read your thesis. 🙂
Could you contact me via the e-mail given with this comment?
Good luck with your defense!
Congratulations of nearing the completion of your thesis. It’s such a great feeling to finish something that you’ve worked on so hard and so long on. Best of luck to you!
